“My first experience of an all amber event was very, very positive – great turnout, great interaction and great format. I’ve been to a few conferences and simply put this was the best.”
Brett St. Clair, Country Manager – South Africa, AdMob

On 3rd & 4th February 2010 well over 110 of the major stakeholders involved in the development of the mobile web in Africa gathered together to spend two days discussing the potential of the sector in the east of the continent.  At 17.00 on Day Two of the event, over 80 attendees still remained, a testament to the quality of the proceeeding and the will of the individuals concerned, to take advantage of the opportunities that the forum presented.

From all amber's perspective this event was simply a massive success (with 98% of the attendees rating it as 'Good', 'Very Good' or 'Excellent').  Furthermore, the vast amount of national media coverage the event received also supports this.  A large "thank you" needs to be extended to the attendees, the contributors, the sponsors, supporters and, of course, our hosts the Kenya ICT Board.

If you'd like to find out more about what your peers thought of the event then click on the 'Attendee Testimonials' and 'MWEA10 - Feedback' tabs on the left hand menu to read their responses.  Also, if you would like to read independent reviews and information gleaned from the conference then click here for the official blogger's (Bankelele) standpoint on the proceedings or alternatively to read an excellent post titled 'Ten Conclusions from Mobile Web East Africa' by Kachwanya click here.

Mobile Web East Africa is slated to return to Nairobi in June 2011, so if you'd like to be involved click on the 'Get In Contact' button on the right hand side - it would be fantastic to hear from you.

“The best conference I’ve attended so far.  Very well organised.”
Kahenya Kamunyru, CEO, ViRN Instruments

OFFICIAL EVENT HOSTS:

“The Kenyan ICT Board is proud to be the official hosts of Mobile Web East Africa and would like to thank All Amber for organising such an innovative
and progressive event.
The 2 day conference has an action packed agenda, which when combined with the interactive roundtable seating format we believe will create an excellent conference that will make a real contribution to the development of
the mobile ecosystem in East Africa.
We would like to encourage anyone who has an interest in the evolution of the mobile web and applications to attend and contribute so that together we can map out the evolution of the sector.”
Paul Kukubo, Chief Executive Officer, Kenya ICT Board
